INSTRUCTIONS  for  DOWNLOADING

1. READ THIS FIRST

   • Kindly take printout of this page & Read instructions carefully before downloading.

   • Always take Backup of present folder of KITRET before downloading new updates.

   • If your copy of KITRET is not updated for AY 2024-25, then do not download this upgrade copy and contact the vendor for updation.

    

2. Take BackUp of present folder of KITRET to a safe place.

   Thereafter, Download this copy of KITRET and install it in the same folder of KITRET, where  it is already installed.

   • Take Backup of  KITRET folder as under:-

     • Select 'My Computer'  and Select the Drive where KITRET is installed.

     • Right click at KITRET folder and then Click at 'Copy'.

     • Now, go to the another Drive where you wish to keep the Backup of KITRET folder.

     • Then, Click at 'Edit' in the top row and then Click at 'Paste'.

     • The KITRET folder will now be copied in the new Drive.

3. When you click at the Download button below, you will see a new window on screen. Here, click at the OK button to Save the program on the disk.

4. Now, computer will ask you to give the location and file name, where it is to be saved. Give the location as the Drive and name of folder where KITRET is installed and file name as IT_889.EXE. So, if the KITRET is installed in Drive C in KITRET folder, then give file name as "C:\KITRET\IT_889.EXE". In this case, the file will be saved as IT_889.EXE in the KITRET directory in the C Drive.

5. After completion of download. Do as under:-

   • Select 'My Computer'

   • Select the Drive and the Directory where IT_889.EXE was saved.

   • Double click at IT_889 icon.

   • Select the KITRET Directory (folder) for installation of updated files thru the Browse button.

   • Click at Install button to install updated files.

   • Click at Yes to All to overwrite old files with the New ones.

6. After completion, run KITRET as usual.

7. UPDATION OF KITRET FOR AY 2025-26

   IF YOUR COPY OF KITRET is NOT UPDATED for AY 2025-26, then:-

   • When you go to Main Menu, it will display the Security Number, Updation Charges details, Bank A/c details for payment and ask for the Updation KeyID.

   • Make the payment in the Bank A/c as mentioned.

   • Send Security Number alongwith the details of payment made to us and get the Updation KeyID.

     • Updation charges should be deposited in our Bank A/c displayed on the updation screen before asking for the Updation KeyID.

   • After entering the Correct Updation KeyID, KITRET will be updated for AY 25-26 and then you can start working on KITRET for AY 2025-26 and Provisional AY 2026-27.

8. IF YOUR COPY OF KITRET is ALREADY UPDATED FOR AY 2025-26, then:-

   • When you go to Main Menu, if required. it may ask for "Proceed for Upgradation of Databases ? (Y/N)". So, if ask for this question, then say "Y" to this prompt.

   • This will upgrade the database files of your old version of KITRET and make them compatible with the new version of KITRET.

9. ALWAYS CHECK THIS WEB-PAGE FOR LATEST UPDATED RELEASE OF KITRET.

10. If NET PROTECTOR is installed in you machine, then downloading may give some problem. In such case, disable the NET PROTECTOR and then download the file from here.

    • Kindly note that NET PROTECTOR anti-virus software is giving troubles in running KITRET at some places.    Hence,  if this software (Net Protector) is installed in your system, then you are requested to DISABLE this software at the time of running KITRET.
